Surat Gangrape accused dies in police custody

Surat : The accused in the Mangrol gangrape case died in police custody under strange circumstances. Shiv Shankar’s condition deteriorated while in police custody, since he had difficulty breathing and was admitted to Surat’s new civil hospital. Doctors placed the accused on a ventilator. The details of the accused Shiv Shankar’s death during his treatment  have emerged. According to the sources, after being arrested in a gang rape case, the accused was beaten up by police while in detention. 

The Surat District LCB detained two of the three accused in a gang-rape case involving a young girl in Mota Borsara village, Mangrol taluka, Surat district. The accused, Munno Paswan and Shiv Shankar Chaurasia, were apprehended by police at Tadkeshwar village, Mandvi. 

Raju, the third accused, has yet to appear. One of the apprehended accused is from Bihar, while the other is from Madhya Pradesh. Both accused witnessed the minor girl and her buddy walking to a deserted location. 

A gang rape of minors occurred in Mangrol’s Mota Borsara village. The gang-rape victim is in her first year of college in Vidyanagar and lives in Surat district. The victim used to return home from college and become separated after eating ice cream at Kim with four pals. 

On the fateful day, the underage girl went out with a friend. She went to Mota Borsara with a companion after filling up her gas tank at Zankhvav hamlet in Mangrol. Meanwhile, the minor girl and her friend were standing in a peaceful location when the three rapists arrived on the bike and attacked the minor girl’s companion.The juvenile girl was brought to a neighboring sugarcane field when the three youths gang-raped her.

While the action was going place, the minor’s companion fled to the Mota Borsara nude and yelled for his life. When the residents of Mota Borsara learned of the situation, they raced to the scene and discovered the minor in a helpless state in the sugarcane field. After being informed of the event, Kosamba and district police, together with the IG range officer, Surat district police head, LCB, SOG, and other police officials, raced to the scene.

Four different teams were organized, and an inquiry was initiated. The locals and police worked tirelessly throughout the night to apprehend the three fugitives who had fled in the dead of night. The assistance of FSL and Dog Squad was also sought. A bike and a scarf were discovered at the scene, prompting the authorities to step up their investigation.

The Surat Crime Branch learned that the suspects were hiding in Tadkeshwar village, Mandvi. When the police arrived, the three suspects fled the scene. As a result, the cops were forced to open fire. Meanwhile, the police apprehended two suspects. When one escaped. Finally, in the morning, the police apprehended two of the three suspects.
