AHMEDABAD,GUJARAT : In order to honour the victims of the recent Rajkot game zone fire, Gujarat BJP Chief CR Paatil has announced that there will be no victory procession in Rajkot on June 4, the day of the Lok Sabha election results. This decision follows the devastating fire that killed 28 persons on May 25 at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot.

BJP workers in Rajkot have been instructed not to organize any celebration processions in the city when the election results are announced. The fire tragedy, which generated a tremendous stir across the state, has left the community in mourning and shock. The party’s decision is a compassionate response to the feelings of bereaved families and the larger Rajkot district community.

In light of the forthcoming Lok Sabha election results, BJP state president CR Paatil called a crucial meeting via video conference on Friday. The meeting, attended by Gujarat BJP general secretary Ratnakar and other Rajkot district office bearers and municipal officials, concentrated on the counting center arrangements and the necessary course of action following the results.

“The tragedy that struck Rajkot on May 25 has left a deep impact on all of us,” Paatil added. “In respect for the grieving families and as a mark of solemnity, we have decided not to hold any victory processions in Rajkot on June 4.”

The BJP leadership highlighted the necessity of maintaining a respectful atmosphere in the city during this period of mourning. The conference focused on the logistical plans for the counting day, ensuring that all activities are organized and responsive to the current mood in Rajkot.

Paatil’s decision was positively accepted by the community, demonstrating the BJP’s caring response to people afflicted by the catastrophic fire. “We understand the grief of the families who lost loved ones in the tragedy. “This is not a time for celebration, but for reflection and support for those in grief,” he said.
