BJP Launches Public Engagement Drive for Gujarat Manifesto Ahead of 2024 Elections

Ahmedabad : In preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated an extensive campaign to solicit suggestions from the public for its manifesto in Gujarat. The initiative, unveiled by Gujarat BJP chief C R Paatil at the state party headquarters, Shri Kamalam, encompasses the utilization of postcards, a dedicated phone number, and an email ID to engage with citizens.

Paatil emphasized the significance of public input in shaping the party’s agenda, stating, “The 2024 Lok Sabha polls are in front of us, and BJP presents its Sankalp Patra (Manifesto) in front of the public, providing a roadmap. However, before announcing the roadmap, we take suggestions from the public from all around the state so that the demands of the people can be added to the Sankalp Patra.”

The BJP aims to gather over 1 crore suggestions nationwide, with a target of 15 lakh suggestions from Gujarat alone. To achieve this goal, the party has launched multiple channels for feedback collection, including suggestion boxes placed at district offices, shopping malls, temples, and colleges across the state. Additionally, digital platforms such as the NaMo app, a missed call number, and an email ID have been made available for public submissions.

As part of the engagement strategy, ‘Viksit Bharat, Modi ni Guarantee’ video vans have been dispatched from the Kamalam office in Gandhinagar, each equipped with two suggestion boxes for every Lok Sabha seat in Gujarat. Furthermore, party workers will conduct Jan Sampark initiatives at the booth levels, while various BJP cells will organize public meetings at the district and Vidhan Sabha levels to gather grassroots opinions.

Highlighting the BJP’s commitment to delivering on its promises, Paatil pointed out the successful fulfillment of key pledges such as the removal of Articles 370 and the construction of the Ram Mandir. He noted, “95% of the promises from the 2014 and 2019 Sankalp Patras have also been fulfilled. BJP is the only single party that takes Sankalp Patra seriously.”
