Surat : Vishal Mehta, the visionary behind the Government e Marketplace (GeM) portal, has pledged unwavering technical support to the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SGCCI) unique initiative, Mission 84.

Mehta, recognized for revolutionizing e-commerce with the GeM platform, was approached by SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia during a meeting held at GIFT city. Vaghasia meticulously presented the blueprint of Mission 84, outlining its pivotal role in augmenting India’s exports on a global scale.

Expressing his admiration for the ambitious venture, Mehta lauded the altruistic efforts dedicated to advancing the nation’s interests, stating, “The selfless work being done for the country is truly commendable, and I have no doubt that everyone will wholeheartedly cooperate in this endeavor.” He further affirmed his commitment, assuring comprehensive technical assistance from his proficient team to bolster Mission 84.

Under Mission 84, SGCCI has spearheaded the creation of an expansive online international platform, set to unite 84,000 industrialists, traders, and exporters from India and across the globe. The initiative aims to facilitate seamless networking and collaboration among stakeholders, envisioning the onboarding of 84,000 businessmen onto the platform.

The project’s scope extends to orchestrating meetings that aim to converge 84 Chambers of Commerce from India and an equivalent number from diverse international domains onto this comprehensive online portal.

Notably, concerted efforts are underway to engage Consul Generals, High Commissioners, and Ambassadors from 84 countries stationed in India, as well as representatives from India across 84 nations, fostering a robust global network through this innovative platform.

The collaborative efforts between Vishal Mehta and SGCCI mark a significant stride towards amplifying India’s global trade footprint.
