Ace actor Satish Kaushik passes away at 66

Mumbai : Anupam Kher, a close friend and colleague in the film industry, revealed that actor and director Satish Kaushik died of a heart attack early on Thursday morning. He was 66.

Kher said that Kaushik had been feeling uneasy while visiting a friend in Delhi.

“He felt unwell and he told driver to take him to the hospital and on the way he suffered a heart attack around 1 am,” Kher told PTI.

Kher expressed his shock over the news of Kaushik’s passing in a previous tweet.

“While I am well aware of death’s finality, the thought that I would have to pen those words about my dear buddy Satish Kaushik never entered my mind. The end of 45 years of friendship. Without you, Satish, the world would be a very different place. AUM SHANTI, “A tweet from Kher.

Kaushik attended both the National School of Theatre and the Film and Television Institute of India, but his parts in films like “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron,” “Mr. India,” “Deewana Mastana,” and “Udta Punjab” made him famous.

Earlier today, March 7th, famed lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar hosted the annual Holi celebrations in Mumbai, and Kaushik used his official Twitter account to publish a set of photographs from the event.

Kaushik was an actor and filmmaker who was renowned for his comedic timing. His most successful movies were “Tere Naam,” starring Salman Khan, and “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai,” starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tusshar Kapoor.

Kangana Ranaut, who will be seen in “Emergency,” recalled Kaushik as a “gentle and sincere man” with whom she worked.
