VR Mall in Surat receives bomb threat

Surat : The VR Mall in Surat was vacated by the Surat police after the management received a bomb threat in their email on Monday. 

The VR Mall, which is located on the Surat-Dumas road is one of the busiest shopping destinations in Surat. The mall management received an email on Monday stating that a bomb has been placed in the mall and that it will explode in the evening. Following the email threat, SOG and  PCB police convoy reached the spot, along with bomb squad and dog squad and initiated a search operation to locate the bombs. 

Meanwhile, the entire shopping mall was vacated by the Surat police as part of safety precautions. After an intense search operation, the police could not find any bomb from the premises. 

Few months ago, VR Mall received the bomb threat via email. This is the second time that the mall received a bomb threat. 

The Surat Cyber ​​Crime Team investigation revealed that the mail was sent from a European country. It is worth mentioning that this email was sent to the official email ID of VR Mall.
