Daman –– In a major boost to academic and industry collaboration, The Textile Value Chain, a leading textile journal from Mumbai, launched a special research edition dedicated to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Daman Campus. The edition was officially released during the Graduation Show of the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) department, celebrating the achievements of the 2023-25 batch.

The Inspector General of Police, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Milind Mahadeo, IPS, unveiled the journal in a formal ceremony. The first copy was presented to Dr. Amandeep Singh Grover, Director of NIFT Panchkula Campus, in the presence of Dr. Sandeep Sachan, who presided over the event.

This exclusive edition features 29 meticulously researched papers authored by NIFT Daman students, focusing on empirical and conceptual studies in fashion management. These papers are the culmination of collaborative research with industry partners, offering actionable insights that address real-world challenges in the fashion business.

“The collaboration with industry partners and the emphasis on empirical and conceptual research has resulted in valuable insights that will undoubtedly benefit the fashion industry,” said Dr. Vidhu Sekhar P, Chief Editor of the special issue. “This edition not only showcases the intellectual capabilities of our students but also bridges the gap between academia and industry.”

Each research paper delves into key aspects of fashion management—from sustainability and supply chain dynamics to digital marketing and consumer behavior—reflecting the growing need for data-driven strategies in the evolving fashion sector.

The launch of this edition marks an important milestone for NIFT Daman, reinforcing its position as a hub for innovation and thought leadership in fashion education. It also underlines the institution’s strong industry linkage, which is crucial for nurturing talent aligned with contemporary business needs.
