Surat | Gujarat — A deeply distressing and shocking event has emerged from a EWS housing society in the Althan area of the diamond city of Surat, where a mother tragically attempted to take her own life by jumping from the 14th floor of a building, taking her innocent son with her.

A tragic incident unfolded as a young boy lost his life at the scene from severe injuries sustained after falling from a building. Meanwhile, his mother suffered serious injuries and had to be transported to Surat Civil Hospital for urgent medical care.

The latest update reveals that the mother’s condition remains critical while in the hospital. Following the alarming report of this incident, local police quickly arrived at the scene and initiated a case of accidental death. A comprehensive investigation is currently in progress to determine the reasons behind the mother’s tragic decision.

A mother and her son tumbled onto a parked car beneath them.

A tragic incident occurred when a woman and her five-year-old son fell from the 14th floor, landing on a black car parked below. A woman fell onto the back of the car, resulting in the glass shattering completely and the rear end being crushed. A woman was found bleeding near the car, which sustained significant damage in this tragic event. The incident sparked significant excitement among those nearby.

Tragic loss as a son passes away, leaving his mother in critical condition.

Althan PI Bhavesh Rabari reported that at approximately 10:30 am today, in the Bhatar Chowki area, a woman around 30 years old jumped from the 14th floor while holding her child. In this tragic event, the child lost their life immediately, while Ben’s situation remains somewhat critical. At this moment, they have been taken to the civil hospital for medical care.

A woman is currently receiving treatment at the civil hospital.

The initial investigation reveals that the woman does not belong to the residence. Authorities are currently looking into the identity of the woman, her origins, and the circumstances surrounding this incident. At first glance, it appears that Ben leaped from the 14th floor in a tragic act, but authorities are currently examining CCTV footage and other technical evidence to gather more information. A child approximately 5 years of age has been observed.

Residents of the building do not identify the woman.

A five-year-old child tragically lost their life at the scene, while the mother is receiving medical care in the hospital. The identity of the woman remains unknown at this time. The police report indicates that the residents of the home are also unfamiliar with her. There are indications that she may have recently relocated to this area or arrived at this building from elsewhere with the intent of taking her own life. A comprehensive inquiry has been initiated by the police regarding this situation.

On September 3, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in the A wing of the Martand Hills building in the Althan area of Surat, where the wife of a looms manufacturer took her own life along with her two-year-old son. A woman moved from the A wing to the C wing, where she first threw her son from the 13th floor and then jumped herself 12 seconds later.
