Surat | Gujarat — Rashmin Chandrakant Kachiwala, a prominent industrialist and textile trader from Surat, committed suicide by hanging self at his residence on Wednesday morning. This heartbreaking event has left the Khatri community and the broader industry in deep mourning.  The preliminary inquiry conducted by the police has uncovered that the deceased was suffering from depression for a long time now.

Kachiwala resided with his family in Salabatpura

Rashmin Kachiwala resided with his wife and family adjacent to the Hanumanji temple in Khangadseri, located in the Salabatpura area. He owned a textile mill, operated in the name of JP Kachiwala, located within the Gujarat Eco Textile Park in Palsana area.  He was managing the operations of this mill alongside his elder brother, Dharmesh Kachiwala.  The industrialist’s drastic decision has sparked a flurry of questions.

Police conducts preliminary investigation

Upon receiving the news, a police convoy swiftly made its way to the scene.  The preliminary inquiry uncovered that Rashmin Kachiwala had been grappling with depression for reasons that remain unclear over the past few years.  The precise cause of this depression remains an enigma.  Authorities have officially registered a case of accidental death and initiated a deeper investigation, which could uncover the true motives behind this industrialist’s actions.

Kachiwala family under profound sorrow

The Kachiwala family is experiencing profound sorrow following this unexpected tragedy that has struck them.  It has come to light that the late Rashmin Kachiwala has a sole son, who is presently residing in America for his studies or business endeavors.  The son is set to return to Surat shortly after hearing this unfortunate news from his father.

Kachiwala was a prominent leader in Khatri community

The recent actions of Rashmin Kachiwala, a prominent leader within the Khatri community and a key figure in the textile industry, have cast a profound sorrow that resonates not just within his family, but throughout the broader society and industry network.  An investigation has been launched by the police to explore potential factors contributing to the suicide, including business stress, debt, and family issues.
