Kevadia | Gujarat — Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the National Unity Day celebration at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31.

The Prime Minister is set to visit Kevadia for two days starting from October 30. Prior to arriving in Kevadia, he will touch down at Vadodara Airport at 4 pm, after which he will depart for Kevadia by helicopter.  In the event of inclement weather, the Prime Minister will travel to Kevadia by road.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the National Unity Parade at Ektanagar-Kevadia Colony on October 31, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.  On this momentous occasion, Dr. Jayaprakash Soni, President of Vadodara City BJP, along with MP Hemang Joshi, all MLAs, councilors from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, and approximately 500 dedicated workers will make their way to Kevadia.  On the evening of October 30, corporators along with the Vadodara city BJP president, office bearers, and leaders will arrive at Kevadia in a private luxury bus.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive at Vadodara airport at 4 pm on Thursday, where he will receive a warm welcome. Following a brief 15-minute visit to Vadodara airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will depart for Kevadia by helicopter.  Should the weather take a turn for the worse with the ongoing rains in Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Kevadia by road.

Prime Minister Modi will be residing in the exclusive VVIP room at the Circuit House in Kevadia.  The Circuit House has been vacated for security reasons, with SPG now deployed on-site.  Following the conclusion of the program in Kevadia, Prime Minister Modi is set to arrive at Vadodara airport on October 31 before departing for Delhi.

Ektanagar will host a vibrant parade, inspired by the annual Republic Day celebration that takes place on January 26 in New Delhi.  About 16 contingents from various forces and states, including BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, SSB, J&K, Punjab, Assam, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and NCC, will come together to participate in the National Unity Day parade.

In addition, 16 medal winners from the BSF’s Operation Sindoor and five courageous CRPF jawans, recipients of the Shaurya Chakra, will proudly participate in this parade aboard an open gypsy. Approximately 100 members of the heralding team take the lead in this vibrant parade, showcasing an array of colorful costumes and a variety of musical instruments.

About 9 band contingents will participate in the Ekta parade, delivering captivating melodies.  Additionally, four school bands will showcase their talents, featuring two from Gujarat that triumphed at the state level and two that excelled in the national school band competition.
