Gandhidham | Gujarat —  Surat district reasserted its dominance in State TT by clinching three out of six team titles, including successful defences of both the men’s and women’s team championships, at the Gujarat State and Inter-District Table Tennis Championships 2025. The event, organized by the Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA), is being held at the Late M. P. Mittra Indoor Stadium, Adipur, Gandhidham from October 14–18.

The five-day championship is supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat and co-sponsored by the Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce & Industries. The Kachchh District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA) are the venue partner while Stiga continues as the official equipment sponsor.

In the men’s final, Surat edged out a strong Vadodara team 3-2, thanks to clutch performances from Ayaz Murad, Nutanshu Dayma and Devarsh Vaghela.

The women’s final saw a similar 3-2 thriller, with key wins from Frenaz Chipia, Filzahfatema Kadri and Aafrin Murad helping Surat retain the title.
