Surat | Gujarat — In a proud moment for India, Surat’s own Mohsin Alimohammed Seth has etched his name in sporting history by clinching two gold medals at the Asian Powerlifting Championship 2025, held in Vietnam. Competing against athletes from powerhouse nations including China, Japan, Singapore, Kuwait, Bahrain, South Korea, Nepal, and Kazakhstan, Mohsin’s triumph has brought immense pride to the country and his hometown.
To honor his achievement, Yasin Park Co.Op. Society organized a heartfelt felicitation ceremony on August 15, where residents, children, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the young athlete’s remarkable success.
The program commenced with Society Secretary Joharbhai Bangali welcoming Mohsin Seth with a bouquet. Treasurer Mustansirbhai Damanwala presented him with a gift hamper, while Vice President Salimbhai Sheikh draped him with a shawl, symbolizing respect and honor.
Speaking at the event, Mohsin Seth said, “These medals are the result of years of discipline, sacrifice, and determination. I want the youth of our community to believe that with hard work, nothing is impossible. My dream is to represent India at the World Championship and bring more glory to our nation.”
