Surat jeweler to gift diamond brooch to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for oath-taking ceremonies
Designer Priti Bhatia of Awesome Sparklers, based in the city of Surat, India, unveiled a diamond-encrusted brooch with the name Aryvarta
Surat (Gujarat) : Designer Priti Bhatia of Awesome Sparklers, based in the city of Surat, India, unveiled a diamond-encrusted brooch with the name Aryvarta to symbolise the strength of the Indian Constitution. Bhatia will give this brooch to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the help of the Surat Jewellers Association.
The designer said the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and other Cabinet ministers can wear the brooch, which symbolises strength, courage, and honour, to the historic oath-taking ceremony.
Combining technique and handcrafted skills, the brooch features the Ashoka Chakra, and when rotated it displays the new Parliament. Designed with 1,200 diamonds totalling 9.5 carats set in rose gold, the brooch demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, expert craftsmanship, and a distinctive design.
Bhatia remarked, “The Surat Jewellers Association was inspired by the structure of the new Parliament and made a replica of it; this inspired me to design the brooch with the same concept. Awesome Sparklers made this brooch in 15 days. It evokes the Make In India logo – that of a lion head, to foster innovation and skill development. The idea is to present this brooch and it should be passed on for generations and worn at the time of the swearing-in ceremony.”
