Surat : The Samast Jain Samaj in Surat is set to organize a massive rally to condemn the recent heinous murder of Jain monk Acharya Muni Shri Kamkumar Nandiji Maharaj at Hirekudi, in Chikkodi tehsil of Belagavi district, Karnataka. The rally, scheduled for July 20, will witness participation from the entire Digambar Jain community under the banner of Sakal Jain Samaj from across the city.

The rally is slated to commence from the Sargam Shopping Complex at Parle Point and will traverse through the streets of Surat before culminating at the District Collector’s office in Athwalines. This rally aims to voice the community’s collective demand for justice and stringent action against the perpetrators of this barbaric crime.

Leaders of the Jain community in Surat will take this opportunity to present a memorandum to the district collector, urging immediate action to apprehend and punish those responsible for the brutal killing of Acharya Jain Muni, a revered spiritual figure. The tragic incident occurred at the beginning of the holy Chaturmas, a sacred period in the Jain tradition.

Acharya Muni Shri Kamkumar Nandiji Maharaj had gone missing from the Nandi Ashram on July 5, leaving the Jain community in a state of distress. Their worst fears were realized when his dismembered body was discovered in a river on July 6. Such a gruesome act has shaken the entire Jain community, leading to outrage and a quest for justice.

The Karnataka police have acted swiftly and arrested two suspects in connection with the murder. However, the Jain community insists that the accused must be dealt with sternly and held accountable for their heinous deeds. They are steadfast in their belief that justice should be served to ensure that such dreadful incidents are not repeated in the future.

Community leaders in Surat have called upon all members of the Jain community to stand united in their fight for justice and pay tribute to the departed Acharya Muni Shri Kamkumar Nandiji Maharaj. The rally is expected to witness a massive turnout of people from all walks of life, not just from the Jain community but also from various other sections of society who stand in solidarity against such acts of violence.

In a statement, the leaders of the Jain community expressed their profound grief and offered condolences to the followers and disciples of the late Acharya Muni. They called for maintaining peace and harmony during the rally while ensuring that their voices are heard loud and clear in their pursuit of justice.

As the date of the rally approaches, the atmosphere in Surat is charged with emotions as citizens prepare to raise their voices against the gruesome act that has shaken their community. The collective demand for justice echoes far beyond the streets of Surat, reaching the ears of the nation as the nation stands in support of the Jain community’s quest for justice.
