Surat : AMNS International Students Win National INCA Map Quiz
The team of Soumitro Dey, Aritro Dey, and Swastik Das Gupta was felicitated for winning the annual quiz by the Indian National Cartographic Association (INCA) at a grand event in Jodhpur. Dr. S. Somanath, the Chairman of ISRO, virtually applauded the children, and Professor K.L. Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor of Jain Narain Vyas University, and Dr. Prakash Chauhan, President INCA, felicitated the winners with medals and trophies.
Surat : Three students from AMNS International School in Hazira, Surat, have won the National title at the prestigious INCA Map Quiz. The competition was held on November 6-7, 2023, at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The team’s journey to the National title commenced at the Gujarat Branch Round, conducted in August in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat. AMNS International School played host to the quiz round for schools in Surat, Bharuch, and Navsari. Ten teams from the school participated in the round, which saw the two teams from AMNS International School securing a position in the national round.
The National Round of the quiz took place in Ahmedabad on September 30, which saw six teams in action, including two from AMNS International School. The second team, comprising Jerusha Thomas, Parmi Dhabarde, and Jainam Patel, also represented the school with great distinction.

During the competition, the students had to answer a range of questions, spanning topics from global and Indian geography to map interpretations, including satellite imagery and toposheet analysis.
The students’ victory at the INCA Map Quiz is a testament to their hard work and dedication, as well as the support of their teachers and parents. It is also a proud moment for AMNS International School and the city of Surat.
