Ahmedabad : The Gujarat Titans kicked off their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with a resounding victory over the Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. However, amidst the celebration of their triumph, chaos ensued when a stray dog made its way onto the cricket ground, sparking a series of events that left cricketer Hardik Pandya facing the ire of disappointed fans.

The Gujarat Titans secured a thrilling victory in their IPL opener against the Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium, showcasing a stellar performance that had their supporters cheering with fervor. Yet, amidst the excitement of the match, an unexpected visitor disrupted proceedings when a stray dog wandered onto the field, causing a stir among players and spectators alike.

As the canine intruder circled the cricket ground, chants of “Hardik, Hardik, Hardik” swiftly turned into jeers of “Chapri, Chapri,” directed at Pandya, who found himself at the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. The incident led to a tumultuous atmosphere, with disgruntled fans expressing their frustration by booing the cricketer, who was representing the Mumbai Indians.

The commotion escalated further as tensions flared between supporters of Pandya and fans rallying behind Subham Gill’s Gujarat Titans. A skirmish erupted among spectators, adding to the chaos unfolding at the NM Stadium. While social media platforms were abuzz with videos depicting clashes between alleged Pandya and Sharma fans, the veracity of these claims remains unverified.

Amidst the aftermath of the match, a video depicting spectators engaging in altercations within the stadium began circulating widely on social media platforms. Although the footage suggested discord between fans of Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma, no concrete information regarding the nature of the altercation has surfaced.

The incident has reignited discussions surrounding Pandya’s controversial move to the Mumbai Indians, with cricket enthusiasts expressing their disappointment over his departure from the Gujarat Titans. As the IPL season unfolds, the Gujarat Titans will aim to maintain their winning momentum while ensuring that such incidents do not overshadow their on-field performances.
