Stockholm (Sweden): Spotify, one of the largest music streaming service providers in the world, has decided to discontinue its radio-like streaming app stations. Listeners will no longer be able to tune into their favourite radio station on Spotify.
The Spotify stations offering easy access to the curated playlist will be shut down on May 16.
According to Spotify, experiments are conducted frequently for creating a better listening experience for users around the world. Spotify stations Beta was one of the tests and the current feature will cease to exist, but users will be able to easily transfer their favourite stations and enjoy a similar radio experience within the Spotify app.
The radio station app was designed especially for the users wanting the radio-like experiences, rather than having to tune into the music or customize their own playlist.
