SITME 2023 hosted by SGCCI in Surat will be a game changer for textile and embroidery sectors

At the exhibition, approximately 60 exhibitors will showcase high-end and ultra-modern machines

Surat : A variety of cutting-edge textile and embroidery machines will be on display at the three-day Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo (SITME 2023), which will be held at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) in Sarsana, Surat, beginning March 4.

Darshana Jardosh, Union Minister of State for Textiles, will inaugurate the exhibition on March 4 in the presence of the who’s who of the Indian textile industry.

“SGCCI is going all out to transform Surat as the world’s textile machinery manufacturing hub,” said Himanshu Bodawala, president of SGCCI. Surat is known as the diamond and textile SME hub. The textile fabric manufactured on high-speed ultra-modern machines will become a distinct brand of Surat around the world.”

“Digital printing and ultra-modern embroidery machines will give a separate identity to the real fabrics from Surat. “Digital printing is going to be the next big thing for the textile sector, and it will be a huge money spinner for textile entrepreneurs,” said Bodawala.

“The upcoming garment sector in Surat will get a major boost with the introduction of new technology in textile and embroidery machines,” said Sandip Duggal, president of the Surat Embroidery Association (SEA). “The majority of the embroidery machines on display at the exhibition are imported from China.”

“The SITME 2023 has been organised on 1.25 lakh square feet of area,” said Ramesh Vaghasia, vice-president of SGCCI. At the exhibition, approximately 60 exhibitors will showcase high-end and ultra-modern machines. We anticipate 25,000 buyers from across the country attending the exhibition.”
