Shark Tank featured India’s first WhatsApp-verified travel tech startup, Deyor
Chirag Gupta, CEO & Co-Founder of Deyor, and Himanshu Agarwal, Co-Founder of Deyor, made an appearance on behalf of the company
New Delhi : In an episode of Shark Tank airing on Sony TV on Tuesday, the first Indian travel tech startup to use the WhatsApp Verified Travel Chatbot platform, Deyor, pitched potential investors. After presenting their tech-enabled ideas to the judges, Chirag Gupta, CEO & Co-Founder of Deyor, and Himanshu Agarwal, Co-Founder of Deyor, made an appearance on behalf of the company.
Gupta said, “Our objective is to reach Rs 100 crore in annual revenue and our appearance on the popular show Shark Tank is undeniably going to give us a boost.” He came to the show to showcase the future of the travel and tourism industry. If people take the time to get to know us, we think they’ll be more interested in going on adventures with us.
Agarwal elaborated, “it is a privilege to be among the select few startups to get featured on Shark Tank. Around 400 startups were chosen to “pitch in the tank” for Season 2, out of an estimated pool of over a hundred thousand. To which he added, “Feedback has been a key foundation for us to consistently grow our brand, and each Shark provided invaluable feedback to us.”
Deyor was founded in 2016 and is a social network for vacation-seekers. After acquiring Covid, Deyor has experienced meteoric growth, expanding its reach to all of India and into over 20 additional countries around the world.
