Shankarsinh Vaghela consoled PM Modi by embracing him during the last rites of Heeraba
Heeraben’s final journey to the crematorium started from her younger son Pankaj Modi’s residence in Raisan, Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar (Gujarat) : Former Chief Minister of Gujarat Shankersinh Vaghela consoled Prime Minister Narendra Modi and embraced him during the last rites of Heeraben Modi at the crematorium in Gandhinagar on Friday.
Heeraben’s final journey to the crematorium started from her younger son Pankaj Modi’s residence in Raisan village in Gandhinagar. Vaghela, who was present at the crematorium stayed closed with PM Modi and hugged him after the last rites were over.
Heeraben Modi breathed her last at the UN Mehta Heart hospital in Ahmedabad at about 3.39 am. Memorable and rare pictures of PM Modi and his mother Heeraba show the close relationship between them.
PM Modi has never missed a chance to meet her elderly mother at Raisan in Gandhinagar whenever he visited Ahmedabad after becoming the Prime Minister of India in 2014.
Both Shankersinh Vaghela and PM Modi share a unique relationship since the old days of Jansangh. The duo are considered as friends and PM Modi has said this publicly that he used to walk behind the bullets of Shankersinh Vaghela.
Meanwhile, many dignitaries including BJP State President CR Paatil, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, former deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, former state minister Pradipsinh Jadeja etc., joined the funeral procession of Heeraba Modi.
