Shah Rukh Khan Recuperating from Viral Infection, Expected to Attend IPL Final

AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT : Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, currently admitted at KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, is reportedly on the mend after a bout of illness. His business partner and fellow Bollywood actress, Juhi Chawla, shared with a private news channel that Shah Rukh is recovering well and is expected to be present in the stands for the IPL final to cheer on his team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Khan’s health scare began on Tuesday when he felt unwell but still managed to make an appearance at the Narendra Modi Stadium to support KKR in their IPL qualifier match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Despite his illness, Shah Rukh’s commitment to his team was evident. He was later admitted to KD Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a viral infection affecting his lungs.

As of the writing of this report, Khan remains in room 839 of the hospital’s VIP section. Sources close to the hospital have confirmed that he is in stable condition and his overall health is improving and will be discharged by Thursday evening. Khan will be flown to Mumbai in a chartered plane from Ahmedabad airport.

The hospital environment remains normal, with regular patient admissions and discharges continuing without disruption. Security measures have been heightened with two policemen stationed at the reception, and hospital staff are adhering to strict protocols, including a ban on mobile phone usage in the area.

Juhi Chawla expressed her optimism about Khan’s recovery, stating, “Shahrukh is doing well now, and I hope he will be present in the stands in the IPL final to cheer KKR. He was not feeling well on Tuesday but was present at the stadium. But now he is fine. On the weekend, he will be seen in the stands cheering the team.”

Pooja Dadlani, Khan’s personal secretary tweeted, “To All of Mr.Khan’s fan and well-wishers—he is doing well. Thank you for your love, prayers and concern”

In preparation for his discharge, Khan’s chartered plane was  on standby at the Ahmedabad airport, ready to fly him back to Mumbai. It is anticipated that he will make the journey on Thursday evening, contingent upon his health continuing to improve.
