Surat (Gujarat) : The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) will be organizing two back-to-back exclusive ‘India Furniture & Décor Expos’ in two cities in the United States of America (USA)—Dallas and Atlanta—in April and May 2023.
The first-ever India Furniture and Deco Expo will showcase exclusive Indian furniture, home textiles, and decorative interior accessories to buyers in the USA. The SLPS Event Centre in Dallas will host the exhibition from April 27 to April 29, while the GAS South Convention Centre Hall D in Atlanta will host the second expo from May 4 to May 6.
The largest Asian American Hotel Owners Association has supported the B2B India Furniture & Décor Expo (AAHOA).
Around 30 furniture and interior décor manufacturers from Surat and south Gujarat have already registered to exhibit at the India Furniture & Décor Expo. The vast majority of participants are exporting to the United States.
“Furniture exhibitions are usually held in America, but this is going to be an exclusive event,” said Himanshu Bodawala, president of SGCCI. The India Furniture & Decor Expo will be held in two different cities in the United States. Around 100 exhibitors from across India will be present. Aside from Surat, exhibitors from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, and Jamnagar will participate in this exhibition and showcase their products. This exhibition will be held on a business-to-business basis.”
“The exhibition will provide a wide range of furniture and décor items to hotel owners,” said Bodawala. The majority of the products are imported into the United States from China, but hoteliers are looking to India as an alternative destination.”
