SGCCI to host three day long Food and AgriTech 2023 at Sarsana

Surat : The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCC) has hosted a three-day long ‘Food and Agri Tech Expo 2023’aimed at promoting and developing ready-to-supply market to the owners of the food and agri tech equipment.

The Food and Agri Tech Export 2023 has been organised with the support of Gujarat Agro corporation limited, National SC/ST hub.

For the first time in the country, Millier company will launch their state-the-art in the spray form made from 100% organically  at the Food and AgriTech expo 2023 hosted by the SGCCI and other stakeholders.

For the first time, the Thailand Trade Centre based in Mumbai has facilitated to create direct bilateral trade between Thailand and Surat. About 40 exhibitors from across Thailand will be exhibiting in the products ranging from food and beverages, fashion, jewellery, household goods, pet feed products, health and beauty products etc. The Thailand pavilion has been set up at the Food and Agri Tech expo 2023 site at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) in Sarsana.

Supatra Sawaengsri, head of the Thai Trade Centre in Mumbai said, “We received an overwhelming support and orders from the buyers during the two day long show in Ahmedabad. “We are looking forward for  its huge success in Surat. We have organised a roadshow called ‘Thailand Week Roadshow’ 2023. There will senior authorities from Thailand and businessmen who will participate in the event.

The Food and AgriTech expo will be inaugurated by Union Cabinet Minister Parshottam Rupala and witness the presence of Surat Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar.

In 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that empowering farmers is providing a solid foundation for the new India. Every stages, from planting to selling, are scrutinised. India is going to forge a new reputation in agriculture as a direct outcome of the resolve of farmer brothers and sisters. An important step towards the Prime Minister’s goal of increasing farmers’ income is holding exhibitions like Food and Agritech. The seed-to-market process will be showcased in the upcoming Chamber of Commerce exhibition. Improved quality and cutting-edge technologies in agriculture will be possible thanks to this expo.

The Government Budget of 2023 allocates Rs. 1500 crore to the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, a move that is good news for the economy of South Gujarat. Since South Gujarat is home to 48% of Gujarat’s total micro, small, and medium enterprises. There are 547 million rupees allocated for Smart City projects. That’s great news for Surat, too. Surat is considered a “smart city” as well, since there are currently six such locations in the state of Gujarat. A total of Rs. 900 crore has been budgeted for the Surat Metro. It will greatly accelerate the metro’s growth and help fix Surat’s transportation woes. In order to raise Tapi’s water carrying capacity and improve Surat’s riverfront aesthetic, Rs. 250 crores have been budgeted for heat treatment.

The Food and AgriTEch Expo 2023 will be inaugurated by Parshottam Rupta, union Cabinet Minister and Praful Pansheriya.
