Rajasthan’s most wanted drugs mafia held in Surat.

Surat (Gujarat) [India], November 10: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Surat police has nabbed the most wanted drugs mafia of Rajasthan from outside the Surat railway station here on Wednesday.
The Rajasthan-based drugs mafia identified as Bhagwatiprasad Joraram Bishnoi, 44, a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan was nabbed from the Surat railway station by the SOG sleuths based on the tip off from the Rajasthan police.
Sources said that the drugs mafia had arrived in the city on the train from Rajasthan for the shopping of his son’s wedding. Bishnoi, a millionaire drugs mafia, who owns two shopping malls and a couple of petrol pumps in Rajasthan, was wanted in the NDPS and murder cases registered in Chittorgarh, Kota, and Jaisalmer districts respectively.
According to the police, Bishnoi has been in the poppy straw business from 2002 to 2015. He (Bishnoi) was supplying poppy straw—a drugs substance—to the small dealers and peddlers in Rajasthan and that it was supplied to the neighboring states in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Police said that the accused wanted in a series of NDPS and murder cases will be handed over to the Rajasthan police.
