PM to hold roadshow in Daman and inaugurate NAMO Medical college in Silvassa on April 25

The UT administration of DNH and Daman & Diu has issued an order on April 21 to block the inflow and outflow of heavy vehicles including trucks from all the connecting point of Daman with Gujarat state with effect from 6 pm on April 24 to 6am on April 26 following the visit of PM Narendra Modi on April 25.

Daman/Surat : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate NAMO Medical college in the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu in Silvassa during his visit on April 25. PM Modi will be holding a one-hour long road show in Daman town of the Union Territory.

The UT administration of DNH and Daman & Diu has issued an order on April 21 to block the inflow and outflow of heavy vehicles including trucks from all the connecting point of Daman with Gujarat state with effect from 6 pm on April 24 to 6am on April 26 following the visit of PM Narendra Modi on April 25.

Priyanshu Singh, sub-divisional magistrate of Daman in its order stated that all the transporters providing transport services in various industries of Daman district have been informed about the restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles and trust. Any person contravening the order shall be punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Official sources said that PM Modi will be reaching Silvassa, the capital of DNH district on April 25 to inaugurate NAMO Medical college and other allied building in the campus completed at the cost of Rs 203 crore. After the inauguration, PM Modi will be addressing a public gathering at Sayli village in Silvassa.

PM Modi is scheduled to launch projects worth Rs 4,800 crore during his day-long visit in the Union Territory.

PM Modi will be inaugurating Devka Promenade & Sea Front in Daman, which has been built at the cost of Rs 165.10 crore. Abutting Arabian sea coast, the Promenade and Sea front extends on the beaches accompanying tourist centres of Daman namely Devka, and Chhapli Sheri area, Smudra Narayan Jetty, covering 4.7 kilometer distance.
