Amreli : Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the wedding of Dravya, son of prominent diamond baron Savjibhai Dholakia, held at “Het ni Haveli” in Dudhala village, Amreli district. The visit, a memorable part of the Prime Minister’s recent tour of Gujarat, included the inauguration of the Bharat Mata Sarovar, a lake developed by Dholakia to honor Bharat Mata and contribute to water conservation in the region. The event saw Modi extending blessings to the bride and groom, Dravya and Jahnvi, with images and videos of the joyful occasion shared widely on social media.

Savjibhai Dholakia, a well-known figure in the diamond industry and philanthropist, expressed his family’s gratitude and pride in an Instagram post. Reflecting on the honor of having PM Modi present at such a significant family moment, he wrote: “Today, as Dravya and Jahnvi venture on their new journey, we feel immensely blessed to have had none other than the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modiji join us in this moment of joy. His presence and heartfelt blessings for the couple have filled our family with gratitude and pride. It is a day we will cherish forever.”

The Bharat Mata Sarovar, inaugurated by PM Modi, is seen as a symbol of Dholakia’s dedication to his hometown and heritage, with a focus on creating positive change in his community. Dholakia has been involved in numerous philanthropic projects aimed at uplifting rural communities in Gujarat, particularly in the areas of water conservation and sustainable development.

PM Modi’s presence at the wedding underscored the significance of the Dholakia family in Gujarat’s diamond industry, a sector renowned for its contributions to the local and national economy. Dravya’s wedding celebrations, attended by industry leaders, public figures, and the local community, became a moment of unity, drawing attention to the values of tradition, community, and familial bonds cherished by the Dholakias.

The Prime Minister’s visit added a historic touch to the wedding festivities, with the event becoming an emblematic blend of Gujarat’s rich cultural heritage and modernity. The occasion was marked by the warmth and unity that defines the region, and it highlighted the enduring bond between Gujarat’s leaders and its people.
