Surat :  The number of Pearson PTE tests climbed by 90% in 2022, according to Pearson’s most recent financial report, with India playing a significant role in this global expansion because of increased global mobility as borders reopen and market share increases in the nation.

For people looking to study, work, or immigrate overseas, PTE is a computer-based, AI-powered English language test. In a single assessment, it evaluates the candidates’ abilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently approved PTE as a method of demonstrating English language competency for economic immigration.

The demand for our PTE test in India has significantly increased, and we are thrilled to see it, said Giovanni Giovannelli, President of English Language Learning at Pearson. It illustrates how crucial English language skill is as a factor in determining global mobility. Voice recognition software is employed for accuracy and security in the speaking portion of the test, together with the most recent AI technology for better security and biometric data gathering.

58% of test takers in India opted to take the 2022 India PTE test for undergraduate programmes, while 34% chose to take the test for postgraduate programmes. Business & Management, Humanities & Arts, Information Technology, and Engineering were the top five subjects studied by Indian test-takers in 2022.
