Surat, Gujarat – In a strong push towards inclusive education and community development, NTPC Kawas, Surat distributed 60 desk-benches to the Government Primary School in Bhatlai village under its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The distribution drive, held on the school campus, was led by Anil Shankar Sharan, Head of Project and Chief General Manager of NTPC Kawas, Surat. Emphasizing NTPC’s long-term commitment to social impact, Sharan stated, “NTPC continues to work with focus and responsibility across key areas such as education, girl and women empowerment, livelihood generation, sanitation, infrastructure, and healthcare. All support extended is aligned with quality and long-term impact.”

He assured the school authorities that NTPC will stay committed to supporting the holistic development of children through need-based educational initiatives, aimed at improving learning environments and opportunities.

During his visit, Sharan interacted with Principal Nimesh Tailor, teachers, and students to gain insights into the school’s evolving academic needs and infrastructural gaps. He also acknowledged the dedication of educators in rural schools and encouraged continued collaboration for educational progress.

Chhotubhai Patel, Deputy Sarpanch of Bhatlai, appreciated NTPC’s continuous support to the village. “This isn’t just a donation; it’s an investment in the future of our children,” he said, while also sharing broader development priorities of the village.

The event was graced by key NTPC officials including Sanjit Kumar Minz (Additional GM, HR), Sucharita B. (Deputy GM, HR), Shraddha Gupta (CSR Executive), Ratn Shankar Mishra (Public Relations Officer), and Hiteshbhai Patel.
