National Women Commission Chair Rekha Sharma received “Acharya Tulsi Karritva Award 2023”

Awarded in the national convention of Mahila Mandal organized under the guidance of Shri Mahashraman, the eleventh Acharya of Terapanth Dharma Sangh.

Mumbai : Each year in the presence of Acharya Shri Mahashraman Ji, the eleventh head of Terapanth Dharma Sangh, the “Acharya Tulsi Karritva Puraskar” is presented to an outstanding individual, and this year’s recipient was Mrs. Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women. On the first day of the All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal national convention, which began on October 7, 2023 at Nandanvan, she was honoured for her contributions.

The “Acharya Tulsi Karritva Award” has previously been presented to Dr. Purnima Advani, Ms. Kiran Bedi, Mrs. Savitri Jindal, Mrs. Neelima Khaitan, Mrs. Anuradha Koirala, Mrs. Mridula Sinha, and Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan, among others. Mrs. Rekha Sharma thanked the saints Acharya Mahashraman ji, Sadhvi Pramukh, Sadhvi Varya, and others when she won the honour.

Anuvrata Adhyashasta Acharya Tulsi’s life and award were discussed by Neelam Sethia, national president of Mahila Mandal, as she oversaw the award ceremony.

After the citation was read by Mrs. Suman ji Nahta, the All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal handed a shawl and a souvenir to Mrs. Rekha Sharma, who had been introduced by Mrs. Suraj ji Baradiya. Aside from National President Neelam Sethia, the entire team of the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal was present, including General Secretary Madhu Derasaria, outgoing General Secretary Taruna Bohra, Principal Trustee Pushpa ji Bengani, and former director of the “Acharya Tulsi Karritva Puraskar” Shayar ji Bengani.

For the last six years, Mrs. Rekha Sharma has served as the head of the National Commission for Women. He was nominated for a three-year term twice in a row. Mrs. Sharma’s selfless attitude and strong leadership skills are a shining example of how women may help bring about societal change. She received the “Acharya Tulsi Karritva Award 2023” from the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal for her dedication to the cause of women’s empowerment.
