As disruption continues and the economic outlook appears bleak, businesses are investing in mobile technology solutions to gain the agility and efficiency they need to succeed, according to a new survey of IT leaders conducted by Stratix Corporation and Hanover Research.

The majority of businesses (86%) have increased their mobile usage compared to the previous three years.

Companies are investing in mobile solutions to be prepared for any challenges that may arise, as evidenced by the findings of the new Stratix 2023 Enterprise Mobility report. Eighty-six percent are using mobile more now than they have in the previous three years, and ninety-seven percent say mobile is very or extremely important to their business.

According to the latest Stratix 2023 Enterprise Mobility report, businesses are investing in mobile solutions to be prepared for any challenges that may arise. Over the past three years, mobile use has increased by 86%, and 97% of business owners rate mobile as either important or crucial to their operations.

Stratix’s report, 2023 Enterprise Mobility Outlook, found that 86% of businesses are using mobile more now than they have in the last three years, and that 97% consider mobile to be very or extremely important to the success of their businesses. It’s evidence that C-level executives are increasingly interested in mobile applications that boost productivity and agility.

“What’s different in this year’s Enterprise Mobility Outlook report is that we’re seeing IT leaders prioritising mobile investment strategies to transform workflows, enhance employee enablement and collaboration, and improve supply chain efficiencies,” said Elizabeth Klingseisen, Senior VP of Marketing at Stratix. “Despite, or perhaps because of, economic conditions, businesses are doubling down on cost-effective mobile technology to be more competitive and effective.”

Additionally, the research confirmed that the range of mobile applications is increasing beyond just smartphones and tablets. What we uncovered was:

In the last three years, 59% have increased their use of wearable devices in their workflows, while 67% have increased their use of Internet of Things

Some 78% of respondents believe that new technologies have an effect on IT strategies in general.

The report also found that the increasing popularity of mobile technology is putting a strain on established institutions.

According to Klingseisen, “most IT teams are overwhelmed” due to the sheer volume and variety of technologies they must now support. “It’s leading to burnout, security concerns, and other issues, so they’re increasingly turning to partnerships with MMS providers to get the expertise they need to be successful,”

The Stratix 2023 Enterprise Mobility Outlook report contains the complete survey data and analysis. Our podcast, Enterprise Mobility Insights, features further commentary from Elizabeth Klingseisen.
