Ketto India donates hygiene boxes to impoverished women on Women’s Day
There aren't enough words to express how much of a debt the world owes women
New Delhi : It’s inspiring to see the passion and fortitude it takes to make a difference. There aren’t enough words to express how much of a debt the world owes women. We recognise and respect a woman’s ability to take charge of her life and her family’s future in the face of adversity.
The main goal of Ketto is to help the poor in every way possible, no matter how minor. When people recognise they have the power to affect change, that’s when real progress may begin, in our opinion.
The goal of Ketto is to help those who are struggling. Women from less-advanced societies, who are often the most marginalised members of society, are the intended beneficiaries of this programme. It didn’t take Ketto long to form the idea, and from there he took the first steps towards making a winning play. The group contacted non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in western Mumbai that focus on issues affecting women. To help them out, almost a hundred thousand hygiene kits were given them. Our mission was to spread the word to those who needed to hear it about the value of personal cleanliness.
Making an effort to improve the world isn’t a novel idea, but there’s always that nagging feeling that compels you to do something about it. We wanted to expand the scope of women’s day so that it included more than just a few planned events, so we reached out to women who may not have heard much about the need of proper hygiene. The CEO of Ketto, Varun Sheth, remarked that seeing people’s faces light up as a result of the idea was one of the project’s most gratifying experiences.
On this International Women’s Day, let’s go a step closer to helping the women who make such a positive impact on our world by donating a bunch of hygiene kits and starting a movement that can make a difference.
