(CJP) have become one of the biggest talking points across Indian social media platforms, attracting both massive public support and sharp criticism. As the satire-based digital movement gained millions of followers within days, older allegations connected to Dipke’s Kashmir-related posts and a 2019 complaint filed before Pune Police resurfaced online, triggering fresh political debate.

No Official Proof Linking Dipke To ISI

Several viral social media posts have claimed that was previously accused of promoting narratives sympathetic to Pakistan during the 2019 Article 370 developments in Jammu and Kashmir. Most of these claims refer to a complaint reportedly filed by Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) before Pune Police.

According to online discussions, the complaint allegedly questioned Dipke’s social media activity during the Kashmir debate after the revocation of Article 370. Some users further amplified the controversy by describing him as an “ISI-paid asset” and linking the complaint to sedition-related allegations.

However, there is currently no publicly available court ruling, official investigative agency report, or government confirmation proving that Dipke was declared an ISI operative or convicted in relation to these allegations. Publicly accessible information mainly refers to complaints, accusations, and social media claims rather than any verified legal conclusion.

One viral post circulating online claimed:
“Shocking Revelation: Boston-based Abhijeet Dipke, founder of viral ‘Cockroach Janta Party’, was flagged in 2019 Pune Police records as an ISI-paid asset pushing Pakistan’s Kashmir narrative.”

As of now, those claims remain unverified in the public domain.

Who Is Abhijeet Dipke?

is a Boston-based political communication strategist who recently gained nationwide attention after launching the Cockroach Janata Party, a meme-driven satirical political movement.

Reports suggest Dipke studied journalism in Pune before later moving to the United States for higher education. He was also reportedly associated with digital and social media campaigns linked to the between 2020 and 2023.

He later became widely known online for satire-heavy political content targeting Gen Z audiences and politically frustrated young users through humour and anti-establishment messaging.

How Cockroach Janata Party Went Viral

The emerged after controversy surrounding remarks allegedly comparing unemployed youth to “cockroaches.” Dipke and his supporters transformed the phrase into a viral online protest movement that quickly spread across platforms.

Within days, the campaign reportedly attracted millions of followers and became one of India’s fastest-growing political satire communities online.

Supporters described the movement as a form of digital protest and internet-driven youth expression, while critics accused it of fuelling misinformation, polarisation, and aggressive meme politics.

What Do The 2019 Complaints Show?

Available reports indicate that Legal Rights Observatory submitted a complaint to Pune Police in 2019 seeking legal scrutiny over Dipke’s alleged online activity during the Article 370 developments.

The complaint reportedly accused him of circulating misleading or anti-India narratives linked to Kashmir. Some social media posts claim the complaint remains pending even today.

However, publicly available information mainly confirms the existence of allegations and complaints rather than any established prosecution outcome or conviction.

No Fresh Official Action Confirmed

Despite the controversy regaining momentum online, there has been no recent public statement from Indian law enforcement agencies or investigative authorities confirming fresh legal action against Dipke over the resurfaced allegations.

Most discussions surrounding the issue continue to rely on archived complaints, old posts, and politically charged social media commentary.

Fact Check Verdict

Based on publicly available information, there is currently no verified evidence proving that is linked to ISI or officially identified as an ISI-paid asset.

Existing reports primarily reference allegations made in a 2019 complaint and claims circulating on social media platforms. No publicly available conviction, agency confirmation, or official investigation outcome has established the allegations as fact.
