India won the the grappling world championship in Russia

Captured the number one trophy by winning the most medals.

New Delhi : India’s Grappling Team won the Grappling World Championship in Moscow, Russia, from November 17 to November 19, earning 105 medals. India defeated Russia to win 23 gold, 30 silver, and 52 bronze medals and the number one trophy.

Grappling is a kind of wrestling in which Russia has always dominated, but this time the Indian team established a world record by beating the Russian team. To satisfy Prime Minister Modi’s objectives, India’s 86 players played the game with tremendous vigour and passion, beating all nations and capturing the champion trophy. Mr. Dinesh Kapoor, Birju Sharma, and Vinod Sharma headed the Indian National Grappling squad. Surat Gujarat Company Alliance Chairman Subhash Dawar and Vijay Saganwan. Notably, 7 Gujarati players, all proud girls of the state, won a total of 7 medals, including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.

Many well-known dignitaries and film personalities from the nation expressed their well wishes to the players before the team’s departure to Moscow, including Gujarat Sports and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Centre Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.  All of these well wishes fueled a new level of passion among the players, and the players delivered exactly what the countrymen wanted.

It is a source of tremendous pride for our nation that, after failing to win the World Cup in Cricket, we made amends by beating 19 countries and claiming the title of World Champion in Grappling.
