Gujarat : Three Killed in a Gruesome Crash in Mahisagar

MAHISAGAR: A devastating road accident on the Lunawada-Santrampur highway claimed the lives of three members of a family on Friday after their car collided head-on with a milk tanker near Muvada village in Harigarh. The impact was so severe that the car overturned, leaving the three occupants dead at the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Hardikbhai Prashantbhai Prajapati, his mother Pushpaben Prashantbhai Prajapati, and his grandmother Savitaben Kalubhai Prajapati. All three were residents of Talaw Phaliyun in Fatehpur, Dahod district.

According to preliminary information, the milk tanker was travelling from Lunawada towards the Sarasan Milk Collection Centre when it collided with the car travelling towards Lunawada from Santrampur. The violent impact reportedly caused the car to overturn completely.

Local residents rushed to the accident site after hearing the crash and alerted the police. A team from Santrampur police station, including the police inspector, reached the spot and began the necessary proceedings.

Police said the tanker driver fled the scene following the accident and efforts are underway to trace him.

“The impact was extremely severe and all three occupants of the car died at the spot. We are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision and taking steps to trace the tanker driver,” police said.

Mahisagar District Collector Arpit Sagar and District Superintendent of Police Safin Hasan also reached the accident site. They reviewed the situation, gathered preliminary information about the crash and issued necessary instructions to officials.

The incident has triggered shock and grief among residents of Fatehpur and surrounding areas, particularly as all three victims belonged to the same family.

Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision, including the movement of both vehicles, while further investigation is underway.
