Jamnagar : A 16-year-old class  XI student was kidnapped and later murdered by his friends in Jamnagar city in Gujarat on Thursday. Police recovered the body of the deceased from a remote place in Jamnagar on Friday.

Primary investigation suggested  the accused were forcing the victim for physical relationship, while the deceased was against it.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jayveersinh Zala told the media that on Thursday evening, parents of the deceased  had lodged a complaint about their missing son. In the initial investigation, police found that the minor’s friend had picked him up a motorcycle from the front of the victim’s residence, according to the CCTV footage.

Police picked up Subham Parmar and Kushal Barot, who revealed to the police  how they murdered the deceased.  Police are investigating the reason behind the kidnapping and murder.

The victim’s father told the media that his son had left for the school. When he did not return from the schools till afternoon, they started searching for him. During this time the accused accompanied him in searching for his son. Without sharing many details, the victim’s father alleged that his friends forced his son into illegal activity, and his son was against it. Because of this, there used to be quarrels between his son and his friends, but later they would patch up and hang together.

Police sources said, quarrels between the victim and his friends used to be for physical relationships, to which the victim did not agree. On Thursday morning, one of the accused picked up the victim from his residence and took him to the nearby village Suvarda, where two accused gave him drugs and made him unconscious. Later the accused strangulated the victim. They even tried to burn the body. Police found the body on Friday morning from the crime scene.
