Gujarat : IT Raids Radhe Group Over Benami Deals

Mehsana : The Income Tax (IT) department launched extensive search operations on the prominent Radhe Group in Mehsana and its associates across Ahmedabad and Morbi. Over two dozen teams are involved in the operation, aiming to uncover instances of benami (proxy) transactions.
The operation focuses on Mahendra Patel, a key figure in the Radhe Group, and several of his associates. Simultaneous searches are underway at more than 24 locations, including properties of two ceramic industrialists in Morbi connected to the group.
Raids Across Key Locations
The IT department, accompanied by police personnel, began search operations early Friday morning across Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Morbi, and other locations. The Radhe Group, known for its involvement in paper mills and construction, is under scrutiny for potential financial irregularities.
In Morbi, raids targeted properties linked to the Tirthak Group, another major player in the paper mill and construction sectors. Searches were conducted at the group’s office, factory, and the residence of its head, Jeevrajbhai Phultriya, on Ravapar Road, starting around 5:30 am.
