Ahmedabad : The Gujarat government has signed a landmark Rs.1500 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Erisha E-Mobility, paving the way for the state’s first dedicated electric vehicle park (EV park). Spread across 320 acres, this ambitious project promises not just to boost EV manufacturing but also pave the way for renewable energy exploration and green hydrogen production.

The MoU signals a multi-pronged approach to electrify Gujarat’s future. The sprawling EV park will serve as a collaborative hub for manufacturers, ancillary units, technology providers, and researchers, fostering innovation and accelerating the growth of the state’s EV ecosystem. But the vision extends beyond electric wheels. The agreement also envisages exploring and developing solutions in the field of renewable energy, with a specific focus on harnessing the power of green hydrogen.

This commitment to clean energy transcends the park’s boundaries. The project includes the deployment of 100 state-of-the-art EV charging hubs across Gujarat, creating a robust charging infrastructure and further amplifying the appeal of electric mobility. With an additional investment of 400 crores earmarked for these hubs, the total project value clocks in at a staggering 6900 crores.

The economic impact promises to be equally electrifying. As per the MoU, the project is expected to generate around 5000 direct and indirect jobs. This potential job boom holds immense significance for Gujarat, attracting skilled professionals and driving economic growth in the region.
