Emcure Pharmaceuticals and Catch Foundation launch mega tree plantation drive at Sanand GIDC
Emcure Pharmaceuticals is also supporting Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Green Lok Sabha programme.
Ahmedabad : Emcure Pharmaceuticals, one of India’s leading pharmaceutical corporations, staged a massive tree planting initiative at Sanand GIDC on September 17.
The tree planting initiative was organised by Emcure Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with Sanand GIDC and CATCH Foundation, the event’s CSR partner.
Ex-MLA Shree Kamabhai Rathod, as well as other local politicians and authorities, attended the tree planting effort. Speaking at the event, he praised Emcure Pharmaceuticals for their effort and said that it will serve as an encouragement to the community to actively engage in environmental activities. To kick off the campaign, 73 trees were planted today. The drive will last 5 days and will span a 3-kilometer stretch within Sanand GIDC.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated “Life – Lifestyle for Environment” at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference. He is a passionate supporter of environmental protection, and holding this mammoth push on his birthday is an appropriate way to mark the milestone. Emcure Pharmaceuticals is also supporting Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Green Lok Sabha programme. Emcure Pharmaceuticals has adopted a three-kilometer length of land inside Sanand GIDC, where it will plant trees and maintain them for the next three years. The project demonstrates the company’s commitment to actively expanding green cover and creating a healthier world for future generations.
The CATCH Foundation was the appropriate partner for the tree planting drive, with a good survival rates of 92% in tree plantation drives performed by it utilising the Miyawaki technique.*CATCH FOUNDATION has 57 miyawaki thick *forests in 12 cities throughout India.
