Dr. Polaris launches Study-a-thon series to top MBBS exams & PG entrance

Bengaluru : Study-a-thon, the latest offering from Dr. Polaris, a medical e-Learning startup, has entered the Medical PG Entrance Prep market. An Internal/Semester-based Study Marathon Series with Live PG Entrance Sessions, Live Practical Videos, Practical Mocks, Qbanks, and Test Series to ensure that aspirants are fully prepared theoretically, practically, and for the PG entrance exam on the subjects covered in the current Internal/Semester.

“Medical PG entrance is one of the most competitive exams in India,” says Dr. Sharook Mubarak, Founder & CEO, Dr. Polaris. About 2 lakh people try to get into the PG programme every year, but only about 15% to 20% of those who take the exam actually get in. Starting early and being consistent, without neglecting MBBS itself, is one of the best ways to secure a spot. That’s easier to say than do, though.

In reality, MBBS students almost immediately begin to prioritise preparation for the PG Entrance exam, which focuses on objective question patterns and has the potential to detract from the student’s development of a firm foundation in and understanding of the conceptual aspects of medicine. We’ve put in a lot of time and effort to develop a method by which a student can simultaneously build a strong academic foundation and prepare for PG Entrance exams. The study-a-thon series is a great way to kick off the platform’s new PG prep feature, which has been in development for the better part of a year.

The edtech platform is introducing some Short High-Intensity systematic sprints, such as Study-a-thon, to help students get through the marathon that is PG Entrance Prep. Study-a-thon will primarily focus on preparing students for PG Entrance based on their current Semester/Internal topics, in addition to providing resources to make them ready for university exams as well. This will allow them to prepare for both the MBBS and the PG Exams at the same time.
