Diamond baron Vallabh Lakhani donates Rs 25 crore for Kiran Hopistal-2 project in Surat

Surat : Vallabhbhai Lakhani, chairman of Kiran Gems, one of the world’s top diamond companies based in Surat, has donated Rs 25 crore to the Surat Diamond Association (SDA) Aarogya Trust to christen ‘Kiran Hospital-2,’ a 450-bed hospital project announced on Saturday.

Kiran Hospital-2 is the SDA Aarogya Trust’s second hospital project, managed by the RTSV diamond hospital. Lakhani donated Rs 51 crore to the Samast Patidar Aarogya Trust to christen Kiran Hospital in Katargam.

Kiran Hospital-2, worth Rs 425 crore, will be outfitted with ultramodern medical facilities and cutting-edge medical equipment to provide technologically advanced medical care to patients from lower socioeconomic strata. The hospital will have 450 beds and a large nursing college.

Following the intervention of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State BJP Chief CR Paatil, the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has donated 13,000 square metres of land at TP 24 in Mota Varachha near Ram Chowk for the construction of Kiran Hospital-2.

“Kiran Hospital-2 is the hospital with ultra-modern facilities for small people,” said CP Vanani, president of SDA Aarogya Trust. We are grateful to philanthropists like Vallabhbhai Lakhani who contributed Rs 25 crore to the hospital project. The hospital construction project will begin on Dussehra and will be completed in three years.”

“The RTSV diamond hospital managed by SDA Aarogya Trust has helped over 15 lakh patients from poor and middle-class families with medical treatment and given them medical relief worth Rs 150 crore in the last decade,” said Dinesh Navadia, secretary of SDA Aarogya Trust. Kiran Hospital-2 will be operated with the mission of providing ultramodern medical care to people from the lower strata of society.”
