Ahmedabad : The public family dispute involving Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has taken a dramatic turn with fresh accusations leveled by his father, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, against both Ravindra and his wife, BJP MLA Rivaba Jadeja. Following Anirudh’s interview in a newspaper where he blamed Rivaba for causing family discord, Ravindra took to social media today to vehemently deny the claims, calling them “baseless and untrue.”

The 2022 state assembly elections had already brought the family dynamic into the spotlight as Rivaba contested the polls while her sister-in-law, Naynaba, campaigned for the opposing party. Now, Anirudh Singh Jadeja has reignited the controversy by alleging that Rivaba created distance within the family, claiming they haven’t seen their granddaughter in five years.

In the interview, Anirudh paints a picture of a family fractured due to Ravindra’s cricketing career and Rivaba’s alleged influence. He claims that three months into their marriage, Rivaba demanded control of Ravindra’s assets, even insisting on registering his restaurant under her name. He further accuses Rivaba’s family of misusing Ravindra’s finances, claiming they bought an Audi and a luxurious bungalow with his money.

In stark contrast, Ravindra’s response on social media paints a different picture. He refutes his father’s accusations, stating they are “an attempt to tarnish my wife’s image” and rooted in a “biased interview.” While acknowledging sacrifices made by his sister, Naynaba, Ravindra emphasizes that certain matters are best kept private. He remains tight-lipped about specific details, choosing instead to defend his wife’s honor and dismiss the allegations as “baseless.”
