Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]: A foreign national was arrested by the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad with 1,391.100 grams of heroin valued at Rs 11.53 crore.

A Tanzanian national, who is booked under NDPS Act, 1985, had wrapped about 108 capsules containing Heroin on his body with adhesive transparent tape. The AIU officials on suspicion intercepted the accused and after thorough checking found a huge cache of heroin in his possession.

The foreign national arrived at the Hyderabad airport from Abu Dhabi via Johannesburg on April 26. The accused has been taken into judicial custody by the court and further investigations are going on.
