Kutch : India’s longest-running and prestigious motorcycling event, BOBMC Rider Mania 2025, was held this year in Gujarat at the stunning Rann Utsav in Kutch. The 22nd edition of this iconic event took place from January 31 to February 2, 2025, in Dhordo, which has recently been recognized as a ‘Best Tourism Village’ by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). With over 2,000 bike riders participating from across India—including states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and the Northeastern regions, along with riders from Nepal and Bhutan—the event attracted a global audience.

This year marked a special milestone, as BOBMC Rider Mania was hosted in Gujarat for the first time. Dr. Rajender Kumar, Tourism Secretary of Gujarat, highlighted the state’s world-class infrastructure and diverse landscapes, making it an ideal biking destination. He encouraged bikers to experience Gujarat’s scenic roads leading to the serene destinations like the White Desert in Kutch.

The event, organized by the Bullet Battalion Club, a prominent Royal Enfield enthusiasts’ group, included thrilling motorcycling activities such as short-track racing, slow bike competitions, and a vintage motorcycle show. Alongside these, participants enjoyed cultural programs like Garba and Talwar Raas, live music, food stalls, and tug-of-war and arm-wrestling competitions, making it an exciting experience for all attendees.

Among the participants, Miss India Runner-Up Rekha Pandey, a passionate biker, expressed her admiration for Gujarat’s appeal as a solo riding and women traveler’s destination. In addition to Rekha, several female riders and specially-abled bikers participated in the event, with many exploring tourist spots like Kalo Dungar and Koteshwar.

The final day of the event saw over 200 bikers riding from Dhordo to Dholavira via the ‘Road Through Heaven,’ a route famed for its breathtaking landscapes. This journey left spectators in awe as bikers rode through one of the most scenic roads in India, capturing stunning photographs along the way.
