Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) in Ahmedabad, which is the founding member of All India Management Association (AIMA), will celebrate ‘Management Week’ from February 17 to 24. The week-long celebration will be marked by a series of seminars, summits, workshops, and discussions around various aspects of management, conducted by revered industry experts.

Putting this in context, Dr Savan Godiawala, honourable president of AMA, said, “The All India Management Association (AIMA) is a federation of Local Management Associations. AIMA celebrates its Foundation Day on February 21 every year, which has also been declared as ‘National Management Day’ in India. To mark the occasion, AMA will be celebrating the Management Week. The idea is to create a platform by bringing together experts and likeminded individuals to deliberate upon key subjects related to management.”

More than 700 students and 300 professionals are likely to attend several events which will be held as part of Management Week at AMA.

The week-long celebration will begin with the Intellectual Property Summit 2024, which will be held on Saturday – February 17.

On Sunday, Dr Bharat C Patel’s authored book – Searching Happiness – will be launched.

Beginning next week, experts from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) will conduct executive master classes. Dr Alok Jain, Founding General Manager – PGPX IIMA and President & Founder, VIVA Consultants will conduct a master class on ‘Wealth Multiplication through Management’ and Dr Indira Parikh, Ex-Dean and Professor (1985-Present), IIM Ahmedabad and Founding President – FLAME University, will also conduct a master class on ‘The Role of Women – Past, Present, Future’.

On Tuesday – February 20, Professor Bharat Bhaskar, director, IIMA, will deliver a talk on ‘Indian century: Managing growth and transformation’, as part of the Management Day Theme.

On the Management Day, Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival 2024 will also be organised at AMA. As part of the festival, many famous international films, will be screened throughout the day. The festival will also continue on February 22 and 23.

Former Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Mr Suresh Prabhu, will deliver a special address on Thursday on the subject of ‘Circular Economy’. The subject is aptly selected to address the theme of Management Day, at a time when India is taking fresh strides towards becoming a net-zero economy.

On the last day – February 24, AMA will host a CSR conference. Some of the keynote speakers who will remain present at the CSR Conference will include Mr. Suresh Patel, Ex Chairman, Andhra Bank & Ex Chief Vigilance Commissioner of India; Mr. Nipam Shah, Founder, Akarma Foundation, Mr. Vasant Gadhavi, ED, Adani Skill Development centre. Ever since the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs made Corporate Social Responsibility a mandatory spending out of the company’s profits, CSR initiatives have brought about a notable transformation in India’s socio-economic landscape with a string of initiatives. The CSR conference will help highlight the emerging trends in CSR spending and the differences that have transpired as an outcome of the several initiatives.
