Within minutes, thick smoke engulfed the structure and flames reached HR Fitness gym, where 25–30 people were exercising. Firefighters launched an urgent evacuation and safely brought everyone down, preventing any casualties.
Massive firefighting response averts tragedy
More than 20 fire tenders and over 50 personnel from the Ahmedabad Fire Brigade rushed to the spot after receiving the alert. Using high-pressure water jets, the team battled the flames for hours before bringing the situation under control.
