Following the success of the All India Football Federation’s Golden Baby League, the Adani Blue Cubs League raises the bar with an ambitious vision. Over 2000 young footballers, aged 8-10 and 12 years, are expected to participate from all districts of Gujarat, competing in three separate groups. The state will be buzzing with football fever as teams battle it out for glory, fueled by the generous support of the Adani Group.

“This competition is a dream come true for us at GSFA,” exclaimed Moolrajsinh Chudasama, the association’s Honorary Secretary. “Launched in 2018, the Blue Cubs League temporarily paused during the pandemic. Now, we’re back with renewed vigor, adopting the AIFF format and welcoming teams from all 24 districts.”

Chudasama highlighted the unique structure of the league, where clubs, coaches, or organizations can register teams in all three categories. To encourage participation, sponsors provide financial assistance, ensuring equal opportunity for every aspiring footballer.

“The previous edition saw incredible enthusiasm with over 2000 participants from 19 districts,” Chudasama added. “This league isn’t just about winning; it’s about introducing children to the sport, nurturing their skills, and providing them with a platform to excel.”

Adding a twist to the traditional scoring system, the Adani Blue Cubs League awards 1 point for a loss, 2 for a draw, and 3 for a win. This innovative approach ensures that even losing teams are rewarded, keeping their spirits high and maintaining the competitive fire throughout the three-month-long season.

The league also boasts a dedicated app that automatically updates scores and standings, keeping fans and players engaged every step of the way.

Moolrajsinh Chudasama’s commitment to grassroots football extends beyond the Adani Blue Cubs League. He spearheads the “FIFA Football for Schools” project, collaborating with the AIFF to distribute footballs to government schools and ignite passion for the sport at a young age. Additionally, he actively works towards training coaches and raising the overall standard of football in Gujarat.

With its ambitious vision, inclusive structure, and dedication to development, the Adani Blue Cubs League promises to be a game-changer for football in Gujarat. Mark your calendars for December 16th and witness the birth of future footballing stars as the first whistle blows.
