AAP councilors alleged the entire opposition was suspended by the BJP rulers from attending the general board meeting of the SMC last time. As per the rule, they must inform us in writing that we have been suspended for how many more general board meetings, but they have failed.
Dharmesh Bhanderi, AAP councilor and leader of opposition said, “We were elected in the last municipal election, but the BJP leaders are ruling the SMC for the last 27 years. Despite this, they (BJP) acted on the AAP councilors without informing us how much general board meeting we have been suspended. However, we donned black bands our month to show how BJP is suppressing the voice of common people in Surat”
The APP councilors, carrying placards on stop killing democracy, sat on dharna outside the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sabha Gruh.
