Vadodara : Class 10 Student Dies After Falling from Terrace floor

VADODARA : A 15-year-old Class 10 student died after falling from the terrace of her five-storey residential building in Vadodara on Saturday, shortly after returning from school. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, with police investigating what led to the tragedy.

The girl, daughter of a Vadodara-based businessman from the engineering profession, lived with her family at Radhe Residency. She was a student of Jay Ambe School near Vadsar Bridge.

According to preliminary information, she left home by school bus around 6.10 am on September 19 and returned at approximately 11 am. Soon after reaching home, she reportedly went to the terrace and fell from the fifth floor.

The impact caused severe injuries, and she died at the spot, according to preliminary information.

The incident drew the attention of nearby residents, who informed the family and authorities. A team from Makarpura police station reached the location and began collecting information about the circumstances.

The girl’s body was subsequently shifted to SSG Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Police are questioning family members and others who may have information about the events before the incident.

“We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The reason behind the girl’s death has not been established so far,” police said.

Investigators are examining the sequence of events after the student returned from school and are gathering information from people close to the family.

Police officials said the investigation is at a preliminary stage and that further details will emerge after questioning and the post-mortem examination.
