Surat: Padma Vibhushan recipient, leading Indian philanthropist and L&T Group Chairman A.M. Naik was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 4th Mint India Investment Summit & Awards 2023. Mr. S.N. Subrahmanyan, CEO & MD, L&T received the award on behalf of Mr. A.M. Naik.

In his virtual felicitation speech, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honorable Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India recognized Mr. Naik’s demonstrated leadership abilities and extensive contributions to the business community and the society at large in India and globally.

Speaking on the recognition, A.M. Naik said, “I am humbled by this recognition, and thank the Mint jury for considering me for this award. It’s an honour that my contribution towards Building the Nation as the Chairman of L&T and my philanthropic contributions towards the citizens of India in areas of health, education and skill development have received acceptance and acknowledgement. Receiving this award inspires me to continue my efforts towards nation-building and philanthropy with even greater vigor. It is a reminder that we all have a responsibility to contribute towards making this world a better place, and I am committed to do my part.

This prestigious accolade is a testament to AM Naik’s hard work and dedication to the Company. The award recognizes his commitment to excellence and demonstrates to everyone the value he brings to the team, the organization, and the community at large.

AM Naik’s strong leadership enabled the Company to take on a number of big projects both domestically and internationally, adding value for all stakeholders. Under his direction, L&T saw exceptional business success and sector-wide revenue growth and his never-ending efforts and dedication have been crucial to the Company’s ascendance at the global level.

AM Naik has been an exceptional individual whose positive influence has impacted many lives. He was instrumental in setting up the Larsen & Toubro Public Charitable Trust which is engaged in a wide spectrum of community development initiatives including skill training at several locations around the country. He has served as the Chairman of the National Skill Development Corporation from November 2018 to April 2022, on appointment by the Prime Minister of India.

In his personal capacity, AM Naik remains deeply committed to the community. He has pledged 75% of his wealth to social causes in the sectors of healthcare, education and skill development.
