Hazira team wins AM/NS India Cup 2022

Surat (Gujarat) [India]: The Hazira team won the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) AM/NS India Cup 2022, which attracted passionate participation from AM/NS India personnel from all over the country.

The six-day-long cricket tournament was organized jointly by the HR and Admin Department of AM/NS India Hazira starting from April 11 at Hazira.

AM/NS teams from Hazira, Paradeep, Dabuna, Pune, Mumbai, Vizag, Barbil, and the rest of the country participated in the tournament.

In all, fourteen cricket matches of 15-15 overs were played as a part of the tournament, while the final match was a T20. Batting first in the final, the Hazira team scored an impressive 229 runs for the loss of three wickets.

The Hazira team also came up with an excellent bowling performance in the final as the Paradeep team could manage to score only 66 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. The Hazira team was declared the winner of the AM/NS India Cup 2022. 

The Hazira team also bagged the batsman, the best bowler, the man of the match, and the man of the series awards.

Viral Patel was declared the best batsman and man of the match, while captain Nirav Patel was declared the best bowler and man of the series. The winners reveled in their victory as they received the winner’s trophy and the other prizes at the hands of Executive Director Santosh Mundhada, SMP-1 head of department Hitesh Seth, and Security-Fire head Captain Sujoy Kumar Ganguli.

Kiran Vaidya from the Admin department and Mohammad Imran from the HR department were also present at the presentation ceremony.
